History

This Lotus Renault R31-05 had it first début at the Australian GP on the 27th of March, 2011 where Vitaly Petrov took his first podium with an incredible 3rd place. This would later by repated in the very next race by his team mate, Nick Heidfeld. The car would continue its strong performance for the rest of the season, however, due to some unfortunate mishaps and retirements it would not repeat its early success.
