Lola B98/10 HU07

Lolas return to 24 hours of Le mans was announced with the B98/10, a Le Mans prototype intended for the 1998 season. Delays in testing resulted in the car not making its debut until the 1999 season, where the cars new innovations could be put to the test. Most notable was the blunt fenders and side mounted headlights, which allowed for a larger splitter across the nose. While a multitude of engines would be fitted to the chassis; it was originally designed for the Ford 6.0L V8. A total of eight B98/10s would be built and they would participate in events for another three years, even after the B2K/10 was introduced to replace it.

The B98/10 HU07 is fitted with the Ford engine and was run by Kremer racing. It was one of the cars refitted by Kremer to extend the cars competitive. It participated in 23 events and placed 1st in the 2h 30min Kyalami.
