Named for the 10 season of the team, the Jordan EJ10 was a competitive midfield F1 car in 2000. It had a carbon fiber monocoque chassis and was powered by a 3.0L naturally aspirated Mugen-Honda V10 engine producing around 770–810 hp. It used a 6-speed semi-automatic gearbox and double wishbone suspension with pushrod-actuated dampers. The car ran Brembo brakes and Bridgestone tyres, weighing about 600 kg. While aerodynamically sound, it faced some reliability issues and lacked the outright power of top teams. Trulli raced in 16 events for Jordan, scoring points regularly despite several retirements from mechanical problems and crashes. His best finish was 4th in Brazil. Trulli’s consistent performances helped Jordan finish 6th in the
Constructors Championship. His pace and feedback were valuable for the team’s development throughout the season.
